CDC Suitable Pharmacy, Lab Material Refrigerator

Designed for critical storage of vaccines, pharmaceuticals, biological products and temperature-sensitive lab materials, the PR-L2466W-PA was designed to meet the customer needs of today and the safety and regulatory needs of tomorrow. The refrigerator is ENERGY STAR® Certified and UL471 Commercially Rated by Underwriters Laboratory.

Temperature Uniformity and Product Safety

To meet 2018 CDC vaccine handling guidelines, storage refrigerators must maintain interior temperatures between 2°C and 8°C. Interior temperature uniformity and quick recovery following door openings are essential to safeguard products against temperature excursions. Single dose and pediatric vaccines in particular are susceptible to freezing which can cause partial or total loss of efficacy. The PR-L2466W-PA refrigerator is factory preset to 5°C and designed to prevent temperatures below 2°C for optimum product safety. Constructed with a light-tight door, the PR-L2466W-PA ensures protection for photo sensitive products.

Flexibility and Product Storage

The compact PR-L2466W-PA refrigerator is conveniently sized for undercounter or benchtop installation with a right swing, field reversible door. The cabinet is ideal for personal lab storage, single lot storage, isolated storage or quarantined product.

The PR-L2466W-PA chamber is designed with a solid interior door surface and physical barriers that eliminate product storage in inappropriate areas, enabling easy compliance with CDC vaccine storage and handling best practice.1)

Refrigeration System Performance

The refrigeration system is powered by a quiet, air cooled compressor. The interior air is circulated over a robust evaporator with an increased surface area to increase responsiveness while removing heat.

Monitoring and Security

The newly designed microprocessor controller, the first of its kind on PHCbi products, simplifies programming and temperature monitoring. Internal temperature is displayed on the digital LCD, touchpad interface to 1/10 of a degree using real-time temperature monitoring to prevent false readings.

High and low temperature deviation alarms are adjustable, via the user-friendly control panel, to meet specific customer needs with delay and lock-out. Control and alarm system temperature probes are factory calibrated and can be calibrated upon request to NIST standard.

Benchtop Pharmacy Refrigerator

Dedicated equipment for vaccine storage is the only way to ensure cold chain performance. While frozen products typically tolerate a broader temperature environment, refrigerated products must be kept from warming up or freezing.

The PR-L2466W-PA model undercounter and countertop laboratory refrigerator delivers innovative design and performance features to meet customer and regulatory demands. The 1.62 cu.ft. refrigerator is ideal for pharmaceutical and lab material storage without freezing.

PHCbi brand pharmacy storage refrigerators are designed to meet current CDC guidelines for vaccine storage.2) The unique refrigeration system maintains critical temperature of 5°C with uniformity of ±3°C. Cabinet operation from 2°C to 8°C allows for ideal storage of pharmaceutical and lab materials without freezing.

The PR-L2466W-PA is ideal for refrigerated storage of the following:
